Last week I finished a home staging job for a Murrieta occupied home.
The upstairs bonus room already had been furnished but needed a "stager's helping hand" to bring back the "BONUS" in BONUS ROOM. It was a lot of fun and the results, in my opinion, were dramatic. In this case, all that was needed was lots of decluttering, removing the busy worn couch cover, a few pillows accessories and VIOLA! Remember, staging doesn't have to cost a lot to allow potential buyer's to visualize themselves living in a home for sale. As I have written and witnessed, Sometimes a little staging goes a long way! :)

nice job, the cover on the couch made a big change.
I heard you were a good stager from my friend Charles in Charlottesville and he was right.
Peg
Hi Janice,
Great job on the room! You made it look elegant instead of cluttered. I am sure that will make a difference when buyers come to view the home.
Peg - Yes, removing the old cover from the couch made a huge difference. Charles is a great AR associate. You have a special friend. I am jealous!
Jackson - Thank you. I have learned "Less is More." I am trying to show others that it only takes a little to create a huge impact. :)
Patrick - Thank you. This room turned out to be one of my favorites. I hope potential buyer's agree.
Tom - Thank you stopping by and offering your kind words and support.
Carole - They did love it. The owner called when he got home and said he was blown away and that the kids were running around checking out their "new" for sale home. Thank you for the compliment. It means a lot to me.
Sheron- I think I am going to cry. Thank you so much. I use to love only doing vacant homes...now I think I have a newfound love....occupied homes. You can really change a room so dramatically using the homeowners inventory and a little of your own inventory.
When I wrote this post I wasn't expecting so many wonderful words from so many wonderful professionals....I was just trying to show what a little staging can do! I am blown away by the wonderful generosity and support on AR. Thank you all.
OMG it looks SO much different! I also love the couch! The removal of the cover makes it look like a brand new couch! I just love the power of slipcovers. Well done my friend!
Cheers,
Cindy
Did I miss something, that couch was covered?? It looks so much better. I got thrown by the legs on the couch. Why would they cover that up, oh yeah probably kids or husbands eating while watching TV
Great job

Cindy- Thank you so much. I have a confession to make....I had brought a slip cover with me to cover this couch. But, the darn thing just didn't look right. That's when the light bulb went off and I saw this couch was an IKEA couch and I could remover all the covers. What a great "gift" this was to unwrap. SCORE!
Phyllis - Your correct...it was the kids that made them cover that WHITE couch! Now the challenge it to leave it like that. Luckily they only live in the home every other weekend.
Phyllis - Very impressive. You did a fantastic job with this transformation.
Congratulations. Your post is being featured within the group Staging Before & After Pictures.

Thanks Kathy! It's me....Janice! (Phyllis is great too!) :)
You cetainly did big the "Bonus" into the bonus room! Nice job. It was a pleasure to look at - thanks for sharing.
